Resource support for the organization of the educational process

at the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security

                 The Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security provides training of applicants in the following educational programs:

– “Economic Cybernetics” specialty 051 Economics at the first (bachelor) and second (master) levels of higher education;

– “Economics” specialty 051 Economics at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education;

– “Management of financial and economic security” specialty 073 Management at the second (master) level of higher education.

         The educational process of training applicants is provided by the material and technical base of the university. The premises used in the educational process include classrooms for lectures, practical classes, training laboratories equipped with modern equipment and computer technics, halls of the Information and Computing Center (ICC), multimedia classrooms, reading rooms and sports halls of the buildings: ” А »,« В »,« G »,« Е »,« Z »,« І », «F» which are located by the address: Kharkiv city,  Nauki avenue, 14. In buildings “A” and “E” there is a library with reading rooms, in building “G” – a sports hall, in building “F” – a dining room, which includes 2 halls.

            To organize the educational process, the department uses:

  • room 308-k – educational and scientific laboratory “Modeling of economic processes in infrastructure industries”;
  • auditorium 202-i – training multimedia laboratory of Economic Cybernetics;
  • auditorium 201-i – training multimedia laboratory “Management of financial and economic security”;
  • room 203-i – office of the head of the department;
  • rooms 201-a-i and 204-i – 2 teaching rooms.

         The material and technical base of the educational process for specified educational programs includes a multimedia training laboratory of economic cybernetics and a training and research laboratory “Modeling of economic processes in infrastructure industries”, which are used for lectures, laboratory and practical work, term papers and certification work. Software installed on computers is actively used by applicants during laboratory and practical work, in course design and in the performance of certification work. Students have the opportunity to work independently on personal computers outside the classroom schedule. All classrooms have passports, which are reviewed and approved annually.

         The Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security has the opportunity to use Internet technologies, separate access portals to international information centers and libraries to organize the educational process. KNURE IT space provides a number of information and technical opportunities for students and teachers:

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching program opens free access to tools, operating systems, services, resources and practical training;

– Google corporate license provides free access to its services;

– to support the educational process in KNURE a system of electronic class schedule and electronic journal was introduced.

         KNURE has developed a distance learning platform that provides access to distance and certified courses.

         The KNURE Scientific Library contains a large choice of educational and scientific materials and provides access to a number of electronic resources. The electronic library of KNURE has information in the form of an electronic database with complexes of educational and methodical support (KNMZ), which is accessed through a corporate account in the domain nure.ua (http://catalogue.nure.ua/knmz/). Access to information resources on the KNURE educational activities is free and unpaid.

         At present time, the educational process at the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security is provided by 28 teachers (24 full-time and 4 part-time), including: 5 doctors of sciences, professors (4 doctors of economics and 1 doctor of public administration), 12 candidates of sciences, associate professors (10 candidates of economic sciences and 2 candidates of technical sciences), 3 candidates of economic sciences and 1 candidate of sciences in public administration as an associate professor, 1 candidate of economic sciences as a senior lecturer, 5 senior lecturers without a scientific degree, 1 assistant without a scientific degree.

         EC Department actively attracts employers to the organization and implementation of the educational process, using their scientific and production potential for the joint implementation of research work, as well as the organization of internships for research and teaching staff. Thus, the strategic partners of KNURE involved in the organization and implementation of the educational process under educational programs are: Association of Energy Enterprises “Sectoral Reserve and Investment Fund for Energy Development” (AEE “SRIFED”) of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine; LLC “Company STV Group”, LLC firm “SV”; JSC “Ukrsibbank”, JSC CB “Privatbank”, Company “Miatis Group” LLC “DKZ UA”, LLC “International Institute of Innovative Educational Technologies” and others.

         Professor of the EC Department Doctor of economic sciences Kostin Y.D. is a member of the expert commission of Association of Energy Enterprises “Sectoral Reserve and Investment Fund for Energy Development”  and is actively involved in the implementation of joint research.

         Teachers of EC Department undergo Certification training in scientific, educational and scientific institutions and organizations both in Ukraine and abroad, with which the university has concluded relevant agreements. The geography of Certification training of teachers of the department has spread to the countries of the European Union: Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Belgium and others. Teachers of the department participate in international projects: Tempus project “Towards Trust in Quality Assurance Systems” (“National system of quality assurance and mutual trust in higher education system”) funded by the EU (2011-2015); the project “Cyber ​​Defense for Intelligent Systems”  funded by the SPS NATO program, Brussels (2018-2021); Erasmus + KA2 project “Implementation of the education quality assurance system through the cooperation of the university-business-government in higher education institutions” (EDUQAS); “Academic Response to Hybrid Threats”, “Erasmus Jean Monnet module 2019-2022; EU Digital Single Market: Policy, Integration and Harmonization »; BELİRLİ SÜRELİ İŞ SÖZLEŞMESİ project at Baykar Makina, Turkey.

         The given information on personnel, material and technical, educational-methodical and informational support of the educational process under  educational programs “Economic Cybernetics”, “Economics” and “Management of Financial and Economic Security” indicates that the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security prepares applicants at the levef of state requirements.
