Priority directions of innovative development of the national economy
On 10.01.2022, scientific secretary of the Scientific Research Center of Industrial Development Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Nadiya Belikova held an open lecture for applicants and teachers of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Economic Security Management on the topic “Priority directions of innovative development of the national economy”.
The priority areas of innovative development of the national economy, which may change over time and depending on the political and economic context, were considered:
– information technologies (IT). The development of the IT sector is key for many countries, including Ukraine. Innovations in the field of software, hardware development and other technological solutions can create new markets and increase productivity;
– energy efficiency and renewable energy. Reducing energy consumption and switching to environmentally friendly energy sources can contribute to sustainable development and reduce impact on climate change;
– biotechnology and medicine. The development of medical technologies, medical research and biotechnology can improve the quality of life and ensure national health;
– education and scientific research. Investments in education, research and development of scientific potential can contribute to innovation and development of the national economy;
– development of agriculture. Promotion of agriculture, including the usage of new agricultural technologies and improved product quality, can be important for ensuring food security.
During the lecture, there was interactive communication with the audience and an active discussion of current problems and prospects for the development of the economy of Ukraine.
