Workshop on teaching methodologies developed within Erasmus+ projects

On 15 September 2023, participants of the WARN project NURE, representing two Departments, namely Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security and Artificial Intelligence, together with colleagues from International Scientific And Technical University named after academic Yuri Bugay (ITSU, Kyiv) held the Workshop “Co-evolution “Business-University”: New Realities – New Practices” which disseminated the methodological results of three Erasmus+ projects, namely WARN, JoInME and UniCities. The workshop delivered new teaching practices for effective learning in response to the dramatically changed security situation caused by unpredictable challenges like pandemics or wars.

The event was held in Kyiv, which allowed more than 70 representatives of the academic society and business from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, as well as internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Donetsk region.

The specially invited speaker, Dr. Svitlana Shytikova, Coordinator of the EU project “National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine”, presented the new opportunities of the Erasmus+ program and the significant importance of project synergy and team interaction to strengthen the impact of projects at different levels, which was clearly demonstrated by the teams of three projects who combined experience, efforts and results in the newest methodological framework.

During the seminar, the national coordinator of the WARN project, associate professor of EC Dep. Svitlana Gryshko demonstrated the advantages of novel approaches to learning in the conditions of new realities caused by hybrid threats. The short tutorship made to the teaching audience demonstrated practical methods, which elicited lively feedback from colleagues.

Such project` results enable the direct joint contribution of EC and AI departments to sustainable growth through the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely SDG4 (Quality Education) and SDG8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

We would like to express our special thanks to the host of the event – International Scientific And Technical University named after academic Yuri Bugay (ITSU, Kyiv), in particular – to the rector, Prof. Veronika Hudolei, and the first vice-rector, Prof. Oksana Karpenko.
