23 August: Day of the National Flag of Ukraine
The National Flag of Ukraine is one of the most expressive symbols of our shared identity, freedom, and right to be ourselves. Its colors are recognized far beyond Ukraine. Today, they are a particularly powerful reminder of the unity of people for whom Ukraine is a shared space of life, work, knowledge, and the future.
The flag is not merely a symbol of the state. It is a sign of the resilience of a community that preserves its identity, adapts to challenges, and continues to move forward. This ability to combine identity, knowledge, development, and responsibility is what defines modern Ukraine.
For the academic community, it is also about responsibility for the future — creating knowledge, technologies, and solutions that contribute to the country’s development and security.
A symbol of unity has power when it is embodied by people capable of acting together.
