29 August: Day of Remembrance for the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine
On 29 August, Ukraine honors the memory of the defenders who lost their lives defending our country.
It is a day when our entire community feels the irreparable loss with particular poignancy — in every name, every face, every family, every human story left unfinished.
Remembrance has a date. Memory does not. It lives in our decisions, in the way we treat others, in our responsibility for what is happening today and for what Ukraine will be tomorrow. To remember means to preserve the truth about the price paid for our right to live, learn, work, and build the future.
We remember those who made it possible for Ukraine to have its today — and the right to its tomorrow.
