Open lecture on the course “Analyzing and Countering Hybrid Threats in Business Management”
The innovative course “Analyzing and Countering Hybrid Threats in Business Management” was created as one of the elements of updating the educational and professional program “Management of Financial and Economic Security” of the second (master’s) level of higher education within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “WARN: Academic Response to Hybrid Threats” (610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, 2019 – 2024). This discipline teaches our applicants to adapt work processes and personal space to the complex and unpredictable situations posed by hybrid threats.
On 12/26/2023, an open lecture on the course “Analyzing and Countering Hybrid Threats in Business Management” was held in accordance with the schedule of mutual and control visits of the Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security (EC) department. A lecture class for applicants of the second (master’s) level of higher education, specialty 073 Management of the educational and professional program “Management of financial and economic security” on the topic “The place of business in the landscape of hybrid threats” was conducted by an associate professor of the Department of EC, Candidate of Economic Sciences, national coordinator of the project WARN Gryshko Svitlana.
The following staff were present at the lecture:
- V. Doroshenko, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Analytical Technologies and Management of NURE, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor;
- T. Polozova, Head of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security NURE, Doctor of Economics, Professor;
- A. Shafronenko, associate professor of the department of informatics of KhNURE, associate professor, deputy dean of the faculty of information and analytical technologies and management of NURE.
The open lecture demonstrated not only the compliance of the classroom classes of the EC department with the requirements of the educational process, but also the development of the educational and professional program “Management of Financial and Economic Security”on the basis of the implementation of the results of the WARN project (according to its main work packages):
- 2WP: a new course and a new teaching method developed within the project;
- 3WP: implementation of new educational content and new pedagogical approaches in the educational process;
- 5WP: access of educational and professional program “Management of Financial and Economic Security” applicants to project materials of the WARN environment.
Thanks to the mechanism of mutual visits, the open lecture also performed the functions of a demo event, which was aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the results of the WARN project. The open lecture demonstrated to the faculty management the possibility of introducing new courses on countering hybrid threats in other educational programs of our faculty.
