Research4Life Seminar on Academic Writing and Scientific Publishing
According to information provided by the Scientific Library of NURE, an online seminar entitled “Practical Research Writing: From Question to Publication” will take place on 20–21 October 2026. The seminar will focus on the key stages of research, from finding relevant information and formulating a research question to preparing and publishing research findings.
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) is a member of the Research4Life consortium, which provides access to scientific information resources. The seminar is organised by the Research4Life Capacity Development Committee and the Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA).
The seminar programme will cover:
- Finding scientific information using Research4Life, Google Scholar, Summon and Dimensions;
- Formulating research questions and working with scientific articles;
- Principles of academic writing and preparing manuscripts for publication;
- Publication ethics and the scholarly publishing process;
- Open science and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in academic writing.
The programme will also include a panel discussion on publication opportunities for researchers from Global South countries.
